Public procurement

The total value of public procurement in the EU is estimated at USD$2 trillion per year. This covers major projects such as the building of a road, bridge or tunnel, down to the purchasing of uniforms, paper and professional services. Irrespective of the size of contract, the vast majority have one thing in common, they are open to tender.

Public procurement regulations, as well as the respective national implementation, impose strict guidelines to ensure open, fair and transparent conditions of competition. Knowledge, experience, and efficient project management are required to plan, coordinate and successfully execute complex public procurement processes.
